The Total LNG Loading And Unloading Volume Of Nantong Yangkou Port Exceeded 50 Million Tons
On February 26, with the careful support of Nantong Maritime Administration, the "Bonito" ship safely docked at the PetroChina Jiangsu LNG (liquefied natural gas) terminal terminal at Yangkou Port, Nantong. This is the 600th LNG ship that the terminal has received since its opening on May 24, 2011. By now, the total amount of LNG handled by the Jiangsu LNG terminal has exceeded 50 million tons, which can meet the gas consumption of 350 million households for one year.
Since natural gas will be cooled to about - 162 ℃ during transportation, and has dangerous characteristics such as low temperature, flammability, rapid phase change, etc., the navigation safety of LNG transport ships is very important. For many years, Nantong Maritime Safety Administration has provided "one ship, one policy" guarantee service for LNG ships, urged the wharf, shipping agent and other units to implement the main responsibility of safety, comprehensively used VTS, AIS, CCTV and other information systems to strengthen monitoring, and warned and cleared the navigation obstruction ships in advance to fully ensure the safety of LNG ships entering and leaving the port and in the port. In addition, according to the ship navigation plan, the green channel is unblocked ahead of time, and the implementation of "priority arrangement plan, priority of port entry and exit, priority of berthing and unloading, priority of receiving and unloading" has effectively improved the efficiency of ship entry and exit and terminal turnover, helping enterprises to seize time, catch up with progress and promote development.
In the process of achieving the "double carbon" goal, LNG, as a high-quality, efficient, green and clean low-carbon energy, plays an important role in the process of energy structure transformation. In recent years, Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone, relying on the 3 square kilometers of Sunshine Island, has actively seized the national strategic opportunity and vigorously developed the LNG clean energy industry. It has successively introduced four major energy projects, including PetroChina Jiangsu LNG Terminal, Jiangsu LNG Storage and Transportation Peak Regulation Project, GCL Huidong LNG Terminal and Rudong Yangkou Port LNG Terminal, to build a leading LNG unloading base and reserve base in the country and even the world Supply base and sales center.
